Linthwaite House Hotel - Bowness-on-Windermere

Linthwaite House is situated on a hilltop overlooking Windermere, making it the perfect base from which to explore the scenic surroundings. Guests can enjoy activities such as boules, or play chess on the giant outdoor chessboard.

Linthwaite House offers luxurious accommodation, with stylish, individually designed bedrooms and bathrooms. Many overlook the lake and manicured gardens as well as the surrounding hills and mountains.

Wednesdays to Sundays, the on site fine dining restaurant, Henrock by Simon Rogan, serves dishes using local ingredients. The a la carte menu features small plates and sharing dishes.

On Mondays and Tuesdays there is anday dining menu available in the Bar & Conservatory area.

There are two row boats available for guests to use. Inquire a Reception.

The hotel day starts from hour 15:00 and ends at 11:00.

The property allows medium dogs in specific rooms only and not in any public areas. A nightly surcharge also applies. Classic Room. Each Classic Room (an average size of 18m²194ft²) is a peaceful haven with its own character and calming decor. These rooms have double beds, en-suite bathrooms with underfloor heating, heated towel rails and a walk-in shower. ;
View Room. These rooms (on average 29m²312ft² in size) have breathtaking views over the beautiful Lake District landscape.are en suite with king-size, double or twin beds. ;
Superior Room. These rooms are an average size of 25m²269ft² and offer views of the picturesque woodland grounds, gardens or courtyard.are en suite, with king-size double beds. ;
Loft Suite. This suite (59m²635ft² in size) includes a king-size bed, lounge and an impressive en-suite bathroom with double designer bath and walk-in shower. The bathroom has a free-standing feature bath and its own flat-screen TV. ;
Luxury Room. Our Luxury Rooms offer views over the surrounding fells, farmland and gardens (34m²366ft² in size). ;
Fell Suites. Our Fell Suites (average size 66m²710ft²), are located in the 14 acres of grounds and, feature floor-to-ceiling windows, open plan bedroom and living spaces, king-size beds, and en-suite bathrooms with a bath and walk-in shower. Each Fell Suite is able to interconnect with a Fell Suite with Hot Tub. Guests are escorted to their suites along a gravel lane past the tarn in our golf buggy. A selection of our Fell Suites can accommodate small dogs, however availability must be confirmed with our reservations team at time of booking. ;
Lake View Hot Tub Suite. From this popular room (38m²409ft² in size) you can step out onto your own enclosed veranda and relax in a heated hot tub while gazing west across Lake Windermere to the Coniston fells. It includes a king-size bed and an en-suite bathroom with a walk-in power shower and underfloor heating. ;
Junior Suite. Our Junior Suites consist of two spacious suites, with an average size of 53m²570ft² and en-suite bathrooms with a luxurious bath and walk-in shower. The Suites are located in a secluded wooded area of the hotel grounds next to the Fell Suites. Guests are escorted to their suites along a gravel lane past the tarn in our golf buggy. ;
Fell Suites with Hot Tub. With the same astounding views and comforts of our Fell Suites, as the name suggests, these suites also each boast their own private outdoor hot tubs.
